The Minority Business Directory is a privately-owned business entity, not supported by any government grants or assistance. The Directory is a controlled circulation of classified listings and advertisements of community owned businesses and professionals, offering a wide range of goods and services. The Directory also includes a number of advertisements from local majority businesses and government agencies. Extensive public service listings provide social, civic, educational and medical information. The combined result is a valuable consumer shopping guide, distributed free to the community. Free distribution of the Directory is made possible by the sale of advertising space within the Directory.
Our History
The Minority Business Directory is Maryland's oldest business and professional directory featuring minority owned and managed businesses. We have been helping minority business owners since 1979.

The Minority Business Directory is forever dedicated to my daughter, Jacquelyn L. Washington, known as “Little Jackie.” I continue to feel inspired by how she lived her life. She lived each day to the fullest. Her life was violently cut short on May 18, 1998. During her short life, Little
Jackie touched so many. All those who knew and loved her miss her deeply. Rest in peace.
